Rotterdam, 3 April 2006 - AND Automotive Navigation Data, leading provider of worldwide digital mapping data for 'in-car' and personal navigation, has added Turkey to its Central and Eastern European map database. The new digital map are the first results of the expansion of AND's Indian production facility.
The map includes all necessary navigation features and are in line with the high quality specifications as defined by AND in cooperation with its customers. The Turkish road network covers more than 343,000 kilometres including thousands Point of Interest such as parking lots, parks, golf courses and train stations.
With twenty cities on street level the map data covers all metropolitan centres on full detail. The Turkish map covers all cities with more than 300,000 inhabitants on street level. This includes the cities Adapazari, Ankara, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Eskisehir, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanras, Kayseri Konya, Malatya, Mersin, Samsun, Urfa and Van. All other cities and villages in Turkey are connected to the road network for navigation throughout Turkey.
